Brandy's Story
Life
Hi I am Brandy Gill-Huff. I graduated from Owasso in 1988. I attended NEO A&M for a year and a half, and then went to Cosmetology School. I have my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. I practiced cosmetology for about 10 years and still continue to do hair on the side. I have 3 children: Victoria Kathryn AnnE born 3/30/92, Bethany Jo 4/8/94, and Marcus Gane 8/7/98. I do still live in the metro area. I am very surprised to see how much Owasso is growing. I really do not have to go to Tulsa that much anymore- everything you need is either in Claremore or Owasso. I have been married to my husband Mark since Feb 98. We own a construction company, Tri-Star Construction, he specializes in Concrete and Dirt work. :)
I have enjoyed my life. Watching my children grow up and enjoying my time with them. They are very entertaining.
I enjoyed going to school in Owasso. I appreciate the education that I received. I do not feel that today the children are receiving the same education that we received, the teachers do not care now the way they did back then. It is a sad state that the education system is in and there should be more people in the Education System and in our government that care about the education our children are receiving. I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were correct.
Ironing or cleaning is how I blow off steam.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Diet Dr Pepper, Milky way, and Sunglasses to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the master bedroom and add on a real master bathroom. My dream home would be right here just need my master bath to be just how I want it to be.
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to MD research, then spend the rest on my immediate family , Mark's parents and pay off Cort, Mom, and Dad's houses.
However with the state the economy is in maybe I should just give it all to the Government instead of just the 56% that they would take for taxes.
In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by putting half of our paychecks a week into our stocks and bonds that we have accumulated over the last couple of years..
we should have about 5m by that time as long as they do not pass the health care reform that they are trying to pass otherwise I will not be able to continue to put half away because they will be taxing us pretty heavy. So we will see - maybe I won't even live in the states.
