Brandyce's Story
Life
I was recently married in San Marcos on March 31, 2001 to a wonderful man named Jon. We live in Tallahassee, Florida where my husband was born and raised. Jon and I are enjoying our new home and taking care of our furry children. We are planning on starting a family in the very near future. Jon, which retired from the US Navy last year after 22 years of Submarine Service, is now working for the local County Government as a Network Administrator. My current occupation is being a Domestic Engineer.
Music was a huge part of my life in school and that still remains true to this day. Most people will remember me playing my trombone but as an adult I have become a vocal performer. I am currently singing in three choirs:
The Tallahassee Community Chorus - 200-240 member chorus, under the direction of the world renowned composer and conductor, Dr. Andre Thomas. This years repertoire was Handel's "Judas Macc...Expand for more
abaeus," Poulenc's "Gloria" and "American Songs" by Aaron Copland. The chorus has been invited to China for the first ever "Beijing International Choral Festival," July 8-18, 2007. Our artistic Director, Dr. Thomas was asked to be the Festival Director along with Dr. Kevin Fenton, also from Tallahassee. We have four concerts currently planned in China. Two performances in Beijing, one performance in Shanghai and a daytime performance at the Ju Yong Pass atop the "Great Wall of China."
Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra Chorus - Miriam Burns, Conductor. During the concert season the Chorus participates in one concert. This past year the symphony and chorus performed Mozart's "Requiem KV 626."
Christ Presbyterian Church - Chamber Choir
Music is still a very important part of my life, along with my family and friends.
Speaking of friends, I would to hear from you.
Have a great day!!!
