Brenda's Story
After graduating MIT with a degree in Nuclear Engineering, I spent 17 years in Special Libraries doing abstracting, indexing, bibliographic citations, and computer and network support for the aerospace industry. I moved from there into customer service and phone-based technical support. When work in that area dried up, I found myself back in retail, where I am today.

Nonacademic interests include historical costuming (with emphasis on Elizabethan England) and bicycling. I've been active in the New York Renaissance Faire's "Friends of Faire" group as well bicycling in the American Diabetes Association's annual Tour de Cure.
