Brenda's Story
Life
Mike and I have 1 grandson (his dad was in an Iraq bunker listening over the phone line for his son's birth) and in 2006 Mike, Jr. and his wife, Liz, had a girl in January and Jon and his wife, Donna, had a girl in November. My mother still lives with us and Mike's parents have moved to "the Beach" in Pasadena in 2007. Mike, Jr. will be doing another tour to Iraq so please put him in your prayers to return home safely to his family. My biggest news: I quit smoking by taking the prescription Chantix. UPDATE 2007 Mike's dad passed away.
We have Jon's dogs living with us now. He's separated, living here, too, until his to be ex finds her own place, etc. Trying joint custody. Hard on all of us when Holly has to go to the other house.
Mike returned in March from Iraq. The kids went wild seeing him come through the doors at the airport.
Getting the boat ready for the season and gardening. Babysitting, too. Our moms are doing fine.
Court system is interesting. Patience is key it seems. HA!
The grandchildren keep us very entertained! The girls love the ponies so I have high hopes they will take riding lessons. Little Mike is in pre-K and doing great. We visited the pumpkin farm with him in October '08. Fun! UPDATE: Jon is divorced & has custody of daughter...Expand for more
, yeah! I kept the labs, ha ha.
2010 - Mike & I have fun with the grandkids & our moms, too. Putting hardwood flooring down. Crazy move with 3 labs running through here & all of the toys.
2012- Jon married a great girl, Amanda. They have had a son, Trenton. He has the lightest blonde hair and blue eyes. I am running with our moms. I know every specialist around here!
2015 my mom is still with us. Our grandchildren love her to pieces. Ages 10, 9, 8, 3 & 1. Three boys and two girls. The girls love the barn with me. The boys like to give the riding a try but they don't have the girls love for it ! We still have Jon's two labs. Ours passed on to the rainbow bridge. Forty year reunion for me and our anniversary in December. We've been blessed.
Our parents have all passed on and our sons have moved for their jobs. The grandkids are getting so big it's hard to believe the oldest will start driving this year! Getting ready for our class reunion this Fall. #45 1975!
FB site for Keough 75 has over 150 classmates at this time. We've had 11 that have passed from our class. Hope everyone can attend in October!
2021 Update: Made it through 2020 Covid19. Postponed the 1975 Keough Class Reunion twice. Looking forward to seeing fellow Kougars Thanksgiving weekend 2021. Stay healthy!
