Brenda's Story
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jimmy O'Dear, from Coalmont and we live 2 miles past the new high school. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I attended James K. Shook School, Grundy County High School, and TN Tech in Cookeville, TN. s ago, but I chose to keep teaching. If you had told me that someday I would teach while we were in school I would have said there is no way. My husband helped me go to college and he supported me in every way even though we had 3 children at that time. I enjoy teaching and being around the teenagers is sometimes rewarding when I get a hug on the last day of their Senior year.
