Brenda's Story

My hero is my father Thomas Walker. He married my mother when I was just thirteen years old. He had no children of his own. We became his children. He is the kindest most generous and loving man I have ever known. He set the true example of what a christian should be. He worked out in the cold and let rain fall on his back so that he could put clothes on ours. There is no way I can write the love I feel for this man on paper. There are no words that are sweet enough to describe him. And If I were to list all the things he had done for me in my life time it would take an eternity. He introduced me to Jesus and through that introduction I now have everlasting life. I love him and care so very much about him. I am so thankful God gave him to us to love and that he loved us back. ends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a cell phone, lunch, and my puppies to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I blow off my steam by swimming. Nothing like a brisk 50 laps in the pool to make you feel better. Their is nothing you can't overcome if you believe in God and have the determination. My current age is 53. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old and smart. I was so completely wrong. I have been retired from work for about five years now and I love it. I was retired from work by my husband whom I love dearly. I share my home with husband and my puppies, which I find very satisfying. My first job was at Dr. Earl Mayo's office, where I got paid weekly to post medicare payments. What I remember most about it is how kind he was to me.
