Life
Married in June of 1996 to Jake Long. I attended Arizona College of the Bible for two years and then spent one year at Paradise Valley CC. I have yet to receive a degree but hope to do so someday. We have a son (born 2000) and a daughter (born 2003). I love being a MOM...it's exhausting and rewarding! I've been working at Food for the Hungry since December 1994. I'm the IT Administrator and support our staff who work overseas. Our offices are located in Phoenix, AZ. We live in Mesa, AZ. Our hobbies consist of 4 wheeling (a lot!), mountain biking (just got a new bike), hikes, camping and more. ...Expand for more
I have remained good friends with my H.S. buddies Charis, Rebecca and Grace! Oh, H.S! Skipping class, dissecting cats and watching Mr. Steve Corbett jump up on desks! Those were the days. :-) In January 2002 my husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease (cancer of the Lymphatic system), but after chemo and radiation he is cancer free! In 2006, it was determined after a brain biopsy that he has an astrocytoma brain tumor, inoperable. It's only a grade 2 and hasn't shown any growth at this point and symptoms are mild and infrequent. Life...don't let your circumstances determine your happiness or joy!
