Brenda's Story
Life
Brenda Spent 1985-1986 at Dixie College in St. George, Utah. She married Richard Reep in 1982 and by literally overnight had five step-children and two babies of her own. In the spring of her first year in college, her beautiful two-year-old baby daughter died. Her family moved to Cedar City where she and Dick went to Southern Utah State College. They graduated together with Bachelor's Degrees in 1988 and moved to California.
Brenda worked at elementary schools in Victorville, California teaching classroom music and elementary choir.
In 1992, the family moved to Dugway, Utah and a couple years later - Kingman, Arizona. They eventually ended up in St. George, Utah again in 1997. That is where the family settled for good, and have been there since. She loves St. George. "We think it is the most beautiful town in the world."
Brenda spent 2001-2005 working at St. George Musical Theater as the Musical Director and Orchestrator. She ended her career there as the Director/music director/orchestrator for the show - "The Sound Of Music." During her time there, she worked on several great shows including "Forever Plaid" (as the music director/pianist), "Camelot," "Snoopy," "Once Upo...Expand for more
n A Mattress," "Nuncrackers," "My Fair Lady," "Fiddler On The Roof," "Annie," "Joseph/Dreamcoat," "The Ark," "Hello Dolly," "Oliver," and other local less-known shows.
Brenda added five more children to her list of descendants since 1992, and has just managed to get her baby into all-day kindergarten this year. Therefore, last year she accepted a teaching position at Snow Canyon Middle School in St. George as the choir teacher.
She is excited to move on to this next phase of life - and start a "real" career.
Brenda composes/arranges music and if you look hard you might find some of her songs in a local Utah music store.
Brenda loves to spend her free time scrapbooking (like - who doesn't in Utah) and working on the novel she has always wanted to write. (2 chapters are done - yeah!!!) And it won't get done any time soon as she is currently working on her Master's in Music Education, and will be for another year. I am halfway through with my masters'. I should be done with it December 09.
Brenda would love to get in touch with old friends/classmates/neighbors/family. Drop her a line. She would love to hear from you and find out how you are doing.
Have a happy day/life.
Love Bren
