Brenda's Story
Life
Hi! My name was Brenda Rochester. I went to P. S. 45 from 1955 to June 1962. I attended Shimer Junior High 142 from 1962 to 1964. I started John Adams High School in Sept 1964 and graduated in June 1968. I took a commercial course which included steno and accounting. I truly enjoyed my years at John Adams High but didn't have many friends. In October 1968 I got a job at Exxon Int'l in the Accounting Dept and worked there for almost 18 years. After that time I took an early retirement package, and decided on a different career. I got married, have two children (boy & girl) and went to work as an Office Manager for a nursery...Expand for more
/pre-school. To date I am still working there (currently 20 years). I am still happily married to a wonderful man who was born in Harlem N. Y., but moved to Englewood in the eleventh grade. He ran track for Dewitt Clinton High. My husband was a crane operator working in New York, but currently he is retired after 42 years of service. My daughter, who was married this June 2005 in Montego Bay, works for a consulting company and my son attends Rider University now in his senior year. My name is now Brenda Smith and I am happy to hear from anyone from PS 45, Shimer JHS 142, and John Adams HS. I live in Somerset, N.J. Bye for now!
