Brenda's Story
Life
Tim and I have two sons, Eric who graduated from OU and now works at Dell, and Adam the youngest works part-time and is a student of Religious Studies at OU.
I enjoy attending reunions, and catching up with everyone after all these years. I've been known to show up at other YHS reunions besides my own!! Seems I'm not the only one.
I enjoy working in my yard, sitting on the back patio watching the birds and taking a dip in the hottub now and then. I enjoy keeping family scrapbooks and photo albums. I also keep photo albums of our class reunions.

Always seem to be busy with everyday happenings. Have no complaints, life is good
School
Spent all 12 years in Yukon Schools. Most memorable teachers were from grade school. All time favorite teacher was my 1st grade teacher Mrs. Julian.
Stayed involved in Student Council, pep club, cheerleading, up until my Senior year, when I thought I was just too busy doing other things!
Even tried FFA with Tammy Payne our Sophomore year! Stock shows were more fun than I ever imagined!
Always enjoyed P.E. classes from 7th grade on.....Loved that dodge ball!!
My biggest regret is pissing off whoever it was that wa...Expand for more
s responsible for leaving my Senior Pic out of the yearbook!! (Could it have been an honest error)???
Best friends from Jr. High and High School included Vicky Kirkegard, Denise Whitaker, Tammy Payne, Kay Snow, Tammye Hill, Cathy Reister, Donna Dawson, Toma Morse, Margie Brandt, Debi Tevebaugh.
Best friends today include Mindy Orr, and all time best friend from childhood, and my very best friend always, Linda Meyer.
Workplace
Went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone in June 1976, shortly after graduating from High School. Worked in Operator Services, Engineering, Construction, Central Office Operations, E-911, and last job was in the combined Department Construction-Engineering in OKC.
Had an unfortunate stint, following my job to Lancaster, TX. in Dec. 2002, but was able to return to a position in OKC. in May 2003.
Retirement date offically was Oct. 5th, 2007. I guess you could say I'm semi retired at this point. I work when I want as a substitute teacher for Mustang and Yukon Public Schools, and Francis Tuttle Technical Institute as a substitute instructor. I'll be putting the substitute teaching on the back burner for a few months though, I've just signed a 3-6 month contract with Hertz as a Telecommunications Assistant. Ironically I'm auditing phone records and making recommendations on how many lines to disconnect per location in their 1,300 rental offices nationwide.
Life is good, can't complain.
