Brent's Story
This will probably have an overabundance of detail for a simple introduction. I'm weird like that.
Actually, going back to before graduation, I transferred from South to Brookwood High after my sophomore year. I was a kid with no car, no money, and it was easier to get there on foot. So if any of you out there noticed, or were even possibly irked that I didn't walk with you on graduation day, this is why. It's not that I didn't love you enough. Honestly.
Anyway, I signed a contract with the Navy so they would agree to pay for my schooling after my enlistment. When I got there, I loved it. And I did well. So well that I applied and was accepted to the Naval Academy with the class of '99. Mom was thrilled.

met a girl. Name withheld to protect the guilty. I was young and foolish enough to quit the Navy and start a life with her after one year of our long-distance relationship.
We had a brief, passionate life together. Four good years, two bad ones. No kids.
Since the divorce, I've been dating for the past few years. It's had its ups and downs. I've met some wonderful people here in the Triangle, and others I'd like to forget.
For the most part I'm pretty happy. I came here betting on the outside chance I'd read a few stories of people I used to know and wonder how their lives are going. And now that you know some things about my life post graduation, I'll bid whoever is reading this a farewell.
