Brent's Story
OK....So I left FDA but that doesn't stop me from wondering what's goin' on in Fort Deposit. I'd like to here from some folks that know where everyone is at now. I see a few people on occasion but there are others that I'd like to hear from.
I've recently retired from one fire department and went to another one. I thought that it would be pretty un-smart to try and venture into another career when I still love what I do. I plan on doing...Expand for more
it until my body tells me when it's time to quit.
I recently got turned on to wild land firefighting. I get deployed as a Fire medic when I go (so I really don't have to dig fire-line). Those folks that do that year after year are amazing. It's hard to believe that people can work that hard for 16 hr days two weeks at a time! I can't wait til I'm able to pack up and do wild land From beginning of the season to the end, every year.
