Bret's Story
Life
As you may or may not remember, I didn't graduate with the rest of the class. I left in 1984, and got my diploma from Houston Community College. It was at that point that I joined the US Navy.
When my Naval career was finished, I drifted around for a little while before settling down in Liberty County. It was there that I met my wife. We married in 1999. I then went on to school and graduated with a degree in Computer Networking. Since then I have been working in the computer field. I currently work for Dell, Inc.
Military

hed the last 3 months of a 9 month world cruise. The ship was the USS Estocin (FFG-15). It was homeported out of Mayport, FL. The ship then changed home ports to Philadelphia, PA and transfered to the Reserve Fleet. We didn't go overseas much but did go to Canada and South America.
When I left the Estocin for shore duty, I was stationed at NAS Norfolk, VA. I was there for 2 years before volunteering for Desert Storm. I was temporarily assigned to the USS Guam (LPH 9). After the war I went back to finish my shore duty.
My next ship was the USS LaMoure County (LST 1194). I made a couple of good cruises to the North Sea and the Mediteranian Sea.
I was discharged in May of 1994.
