Brian's Story
Hello,
I retired from the FDNY last year, I went to college, after St.John's with a great group of people, Paul Angerame,and Tommy Malone were my best friends. Tommy and his family took me in, after my family moved to Fla., Tommy died the month I moved up to OswegoSt., they (Savage/Malone/Maher/Sullivan/.. took over the frat house, really an animal house, no frills, just a bunch of nerd/jocks. I tried to join, 2 yrs. after(transfer), but my pal Stick(Tommy Malone), died in a crash, I was last with him.. very tough!
I joined the FDNY eventually, I loved my career, best of best lads you could ever be with. Unfortunatly, 9/11 hi...Expand for more
t, and I was in Orlando, w/ family. I called up my best pal, broke his chops, 'cause the Giants were on Mon.nite FB, and he hated FB, ..asked to who was working, talked to a few....got to say goodbye, !!!! before God took them. God took the best, I believe that, I worked with so many of the guys, in lower Manhattan, I hated being a backup Chauffer,doing their job!, yet found the guys who died, uncannally were the best guys in the firehouses. I believe in God, believe in his reasons, of which I have no clue. I should have been dead(my groups/ house), yet I was on vacation, but I have scars, so it's up to me to give back in my life.
