Brian's Story
List of my schools:
1. Chamblee School and later Chamblee High School I went through 1st grade (1951-52) and 2nd grade (1952-53) there when it was Chamblee School. Grades 1 - 12.. (Read more to see when I was there in the 1960's.)
2. Skyland Elementary School: Grades 3 - 7. 1953-59. (I failed one year. 4h or 5th grade. I don't remember which. )
3. Cross Keys High School. Part of the 8th grade (September 1959 and part of October 1959).
4. Lyman Ward Military Academy, Camp Hill, Alabama -.8th grade - end of October 1959 to the end of the school year in 1960.
5. Mount Berry School for Boys, Mt. Berry, Georgia .. The entire 1960-1961 school year for the ninth (9th) grade. I also worked on the campus crew during the summer of 1960 to earn...Expand for more
some tuition money for the next school year. This school was located at Berry College in Rome GA. (The school was renamed "Berry Academy" in 1964 and it was closed in 1983. I think that is the right year, I could be wrong.)
6.. Chamblee High School - 1960 Summer School. (I walked to school that summer from my aunt's that was on Sexton Woods Dr. Her back yard was behind the school property line.)
7. Lyman Ward Military Academy. Sophomore Year (1961-62) and Junior Year (1962-63).
8 Chamblee High School - 1963 Summer School. One of my best summers.
9. Lyman Ward Military Academy - Senior Year. I graduated at end of May in 1964.
That explains why I have so many schools listed. (I will add my colleges later.)
