Brian's Story
Life
"Business and financial decisions that expose us to possible failure are among the most difficult we ever make. Secrets that successful entrepreneurs use to overcome their fears when faced with new challenges and opportunities include taking action NOW, focusing on a vision of success, and detaching your ego from the result. These tactics, when properly implemented, allow the risk-taker to meet the challenge, run the risk, and live with the outcome, good or bad. Does this mean we take risks without doing our due diligence? Absolutely not. It does mean that we can go forward with deals that are not 100% guaranteed to succeed. Using these simple tools can definately add hours to your night's rest and leave you better armed to win the battle of business".
After three years in the jungles of Papua-New Guinea Brian was hired by Air Botswana as their Commercial Director. He brought computers an international marketing techniques to this small national carrier in Southern Africa....Expand for more
Hired by the International Air Transport Association in Geneva as Manager of Industry Automation. He specialized in working with groups of member airlines on noncompetitive projects.
In 1988 Brian met his future wife in Switzerland. The beautiful Lisha is Dutch and Indonesian and grew up in Europe, New York and Colorado. A., Lisha left her work in New York City as an importer of European fashion lines, and they set off around the world with Hawaii as the final destination.
Deciding where they would move their respective households to was not easy in 1989. The couple settled on Volcano Village just outside the national park and began with a two bedroom "B&B" that was called Chalet Kilauea. From this tentative position Brian applied to and started to attend U. H. Manoa, commuting weekly from 1990-1994.
Brian received his JD and MPS degrees in 1994.
