Brian's Story
Life
I joined the US Air Force shortly after high School. I spent 24 years in the US Air Force working, going to school, and travelling all over the world.
I have been married 3 times. My first wife was from France. We separated after 7 years and later divorced. My second wife was from Thailand. She passed away after 17 years. My third and current wife is from the Philippines. I have 1 biological child, 4 adopted children and 2 step-children, totalling seven children.
After retiring from the US Air Force, I moved to Tucson, Arizona and I worked as a Registered Representative for an Investment Company for 7 years. In August, 2000, I stopped working due to health reasons and moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico to retire, where my wife and I live on 2 1/2 acres of land.
We currently spend our time seeing doctors, upgrading our house and landscaping the property, taking care of our Rooster and 16 hens, and travelling to visit relatives when it is possible.
Our travels have taken us back to Andover to visit my parents and family. To the Philippines to visit my wife's mother and her family. To France to visit my daughter, her husband and 3 of our grand-children and Paris to spend a romantic week with my wife. We have also been to Norfolk, Virginia to visit a son who was stationed there while in the US Navy, to Orlando, Florida to visit the same son when he graduated from college. We make several trips to Tucson, Arizona to visit another daughter and 2 more grand-children. And, we plan to go to Ft Campbel...Expand for more
l, Kentucky to visit another son when he returns from Baghdad, Iraq where he is a Combat Medic in the US Army.
College
I obtained a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland, European Division, in 1979. I also obtained an Associates in Applied Science Degree from the Community College of the Air Force in 1984.
I was working on a Bachelors of Science Degree at Chapman College majoring in Apllied Math with Computer Science Emphasis from 1981 to 1985. In 1985, I was transferred to Okinawa, Japan needing only 4 classes to graduate, but was not able to go to school and never obtained the degree. In order to continue educating myself, I completed the Master Course in Microcomputers and Microprocessors from NRI Schools.
Military
I joined the US Air Force shortly after high school in order to use the GI Bill for college and a chance to see the world. I did both.
I lived in Stuttgart, Germany for 3 years; Madrid, Spain for 1 year; Cadiz, Spain for 4 years; Alamogordo, New Mexico for 5 years; Okinawa, Japan for 8 years and shorts stays in Texas, Colorado, and Virginia. Altogether I spent 24 years in the US Air Force.
During the first half of my career I was a Vehicle Mechanic repairing military vehicles. This job took me to Europe where I visited almost every European country. The last 10 years I was a Manpower Management Engineer. I did time studies and created mathematic equations used to determine Air Force Manpower. I spent my last 8 years in Asia visiting Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Guam.
