Workplace (Only 4000 characters? I'll try,...) Well I delivered the Peoria Journal Star as a kid in Peoria. In high school (Marquette Heights, IL.) I spent the summers working for my Grandpa Hex at his plumbing, heating and air conditioning business in Washington, IL. During the school months I worked at the Chateau on the Lake, in North Pekin, IL. While attending Eureka College, I worked during the week at the College, then weekends at the Chateau. When I moved to Rock Island, IL, I became a Manager Trainee at the Moline, IL, Steak-N-Shake, then transferred to their Pekin, IL store. I left there to be a night mgr at the Peoria Big Hollow 7-11, then I took a job at Stinnett Windows, in East Peoria, IL, then back to Steak-N-Shake, only at the Peoria Main St. store. From there I went to UFS and did roofing on the side. I left UFS to become a security guard for Per Mar Security, and applied to the Peoria Police Dept. and was placed on their waiting list. I left Per Mar and started at OSF as a Security Officer in 1982. 1984 I decided to become a Marine, taking a military leave, and just as I was waiting to ship out the Peoria Police Department called and said my name was now at the top of their list, and I contacted my Marine Recruiter and was informed that I was committed (though I later found out that I wasn't until I reported to boot camp, but I do n...Expand for more
