My Job
I love my job(s). I've been with the Fire Department now for 10 1/2 years full time. I'm a Lieutnenant of a Fire House and an EMT-Basic. The best thing is helping people, fighting fires, and driving my Engine. What a rush!
The waterpark I was at for 16 years is now closed but it was probably the best time of my life working there as well. I had such an amazing group of coworkers and staff it was pretty much like another family. Somewhat disfunctional at times, but still family.
I now also work at one of the local fitness facilities as the Aquatics Director and Program Coordinator (when I'm not at the fire station). It's been pretty cool but I'm looking forward to ...Expand for more
a time when I'm only working one job and can relax.
I'm still single.. tried not to be a couple times, just didn't work out. Bike #1 was a engagement ring conversion, then it got stolen so I got bike #2. I found out as I'm getting older that women my age don't like sports bikes so I caved in and got me an old mans bike... It's just a blast. You can ride pretty much all year around here.
No kids either.. I think I'm holding out for the package deal. But all in all I'm pretty happy just the way things are.
I get to retire from the fire department when I'm 46. I hope by that time I will figure out what I want to be when I grow up..... I'm thinking I still want to be a pilot...
