More about Brian:"Im working on the first draft of a book, here is the introduction rough out. The Waiting by: Brian K. Lane Sr. We can look at a place and stand in awe of its beauty, and wonder, and the very next moment try to see how we can use it to our advantage. We are the same with people, and other peoples, like the animals we are, we look to capitalize on what we see. Unlike the animals of the so called wild, we seek to obtain more than we need for our simple survival. We seek to command as much, or all, of the resources we can manage to get our hands on. To corner the market, so to speak, on what has been so freely given to us, so that others must pay for the same resources and priveledges, that came to us from whatever source we received it from. Granted, many have what they have in the way of resources, through hard work, resourcefulness, and ingenuity, but the obvious return on investment in many cases is never met. Meaning, what is given back? The end goal of all this discovery, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and just plain dumb luck, if there is such a thing, seems to be simply to just facilitate more resources for that individual. Not to maintain a balance for all peoples, and the planets sustainability. We strive so hard to do this or that, that we never stop to ask, should we. At some point, this world begins to take back what it has given all of us. This Earth Mother begins to seek her own balance, and after all, it is within her right to do this, since the time we were born into this life, and given the divine spark of life, she has physically sustained us, emotionally inspired us, devoted all she has to give, to help us survive. All peoples, regardless of where they are from, and what form they take, have throughout the ages recognized this, and given thanks for what they have received, and strived to live a sustainable lifestyle with the Earth, until the last several hundred years. Traditional keepers of the old wisdom do still survive in the human race, as well as with the other peoples of this planet, and elsewhere in this universe. The birds, the water, the trees, the rocks, other tribal human beings who have not embraced the race to attain more material wealth, than what they need for the survival of themselves and their kind, and continue to practice the sacred rituals, and ceremonies. To them, it has been given the not so secret of this planets survival, and all its inhabitants. All things in nature and...Expand for more
so called science seek a balance, and equillibrium, with its surroundings, and when that equillibrium is so severely upset, beyond its control to turn back it is set right again, in nature. Thus, hurricanes that kill thousands, earthquakes, famine, disease, war. These things all bring populations, and consumption of resources, back into check for a short time. Sadly it also sets the stage for continued power struggles within its inhabitants, but it evens the score for a time. Fortunately, this cycle of events does not continue indefinitly. Sooner or later nature will eliminate completely the source of irritation to the balance it must try to maintain. Unfortunately for us, this irritation to the natural balance of the Earth itself, is the human race. Our planet, though surely not the only with organic life deposited upon it, is a living breathing organism. A place where once the human inhabitants understood the delicate balance it maintained with its Mother. Creation, by whatever religio-philosophical means that humans throughout the ages beleived, understood its connection to everything, saw it, understood it, and sought to maintain it, by all means. But rather than keep in balance with their surroundings, as populations grew, they sought conquest of other areas. Determined to carry on to another area, even if by force. Perhaps, this is the inevitable outcome, because even in nature when an animals hunting ground becomes depleted it moves to another area, and even sometimes wars with the indigenous occupants of that area. This allows for a few things to happens. 1: the original area can bounce back from its previous occupation, 2: it allows for the mixing of the races of like animals of the area being moved to, thus creating an evolution of the animal, 3: and in many cases taking the attributes of the indigenous animals societal structure, and integrating it into their own, and making a new societal structure. Sound familiar, this same thing has happened within the human animal, with the small, but hugely important difference. The size of this planets human population has reached its saturation level long ago, and cannot turn back from its unsustainable lifestyles. Something must be accomplished on a much deeper level within the human animal. The understanding we once had of our surroundings, our eco-system, and our spiritual connection with all things must be re-evaluated. We are all one, and we all need each other. We have value to each other, and can learn to accept each others cultural differences, to meet a common goal, for all creation, not just human, but the four legged peoples, the flyers, the swimmers, the crawlers, and those that are seen , but unseen to our eyes. This is the goal we should all be striving for, with all of our intellect, knowledge, and creative ability, why can we not see what we are doing to ourselves? The other creatures of this planet see it, and they are The Waiting.".
