Rose's Story
Life
Brian and Rose have been married for almost 30 years. Brian works for a natural foods company and has done so for 20 years now. I am a homemaker who is involved in a variety of stuff.....usually taking care of things at home and the kids......We have 3 boys (28,21,and 14) and three girls (26,22, and 18). We have two cats, "Douglas" and "Raif", and one bunny, "Mr. Bunny". Our oldest son graduated with a degree in Psychology and in 2010 finished his degree in business .... Our oldest daughter is a nurse. In December, she and her husband Robert, celebrated their 4 year anniversary! They have a daughter (a delight to us), and she is 20 months old. We are so happy to have her! Robert is also a nurse.Our middle daughter Emily works as a CNA & nanny. She and Tyler were married in August of 2010. Our middle son, Ben is working and is 21 moved out on his own........where does the time go.... Our youngest daughter Beth is 18 and is working....will be graduating this year.., and our youngest son, Sam is 14, is a freshman! He has surpassed his mother in height now, and the voice is changing! Fun to watch him....he loves being in Youth Group at church. We have a very busy life.... Our family is involved in a number of things: we are involved with 'Steps for Life' fundraiser for the Pregnancy Resource Centers of Portland to help out teens and women who are in need of help (all the things they provide: maternity clothes, furniture, parenting classes, counseling....all help is free), and promoting the Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference by Familylife. We promote it to anyone who is interes...Expand for more

We have been volunteering at the conference for the last 10 years and really enjoy the interaction with people and seeing how God is working thru the speakers and the great material at the conference. The next one coming up in Portland is in November 2012. You can check for a conference in your area by going to the familylife website. familylife.com. Our kids keep us on our tires...I mean toes....with the different activities they are involved in...whether it be basketball or just going to the mall. Workplace
When Rose left high school, she worked for the local theatres in Longview and Kelso, before quitting in 1981. She left the theatre business because she became a Christian, and felt that God was leading somewhere else. Rose found a job at a office supply store and worked there after getting married until she went into labor with our first child. For about 12 years after moving to Oregon, Rose worked at a evangelical conference grounds as a grounds keeper. Now, no longer working, she is at home. Brian has worked a variety of jobs since high school, usually in retail. After moving back to Oregon, he went to work at a saw mill, then Les Schwab, then into retail again at PayLess. For the past 19 years, he has worked at a Natural Foods company as Plant Administrator. A wonderful group of people there and a great business. :)
My oldest friend would have to be Lynette...we met in 7th grade, and just clicked. She is a sweet person whom I don't get to see very much since we live in different states.
