Brian's Story
Life
I first started school at a private school called Greene Gables. I attended there for preschool and summer school for K-2. I attended Winnetka Elem. for K-3. I left Winnetka in 1980 to attend SOCES where I stayed for 9 years. Since graduating from CES in 1989, I went to CSUN and graduated from there in 1995 with a B.A. in Spanish. I attempted to get a teaching credential in Spanish in 1997 which fell apart. I took a new road, and I received my preliminary teaching credential in special education in 1999. Since 1999, I've been teaching math (including Algebra and Geometry) to students with learning disabilities at Chatsworth High School. I just received my clear credential in special education dated July, 2004. I am currently working on getting my M.A. in special education. I'm still living in Winnetka, and I'm still single.

hen I first started, the two additional science buildings hadn't been built yet. We still had an Engineering field, the cafeteria was still on the roof of Sierra Hall South and the cafeteria at the bookstore was in the bookstore itself. I remember those days when the 4-story parking garage was available and everyone parked there and alleviated some of the parking headaches until the Northridge earthquake came along to knock it down. 1994-1996 was some difficult years following the earthquake and getting around the campus. There are many friends I miss from my college days; some I met at college and some followed me from high school. One of these friends I met at orientation and we had the sleepover in the old Tower apartments which got torn down about 1998. I lost contact with many of them and hope that they will show up here one of these days. Graduating in 1995 was a memorable ceremony at the old football stadium.
