Brian's Story
Workplace
I work for a large Oil and Gas company in Oklahoma City. I work in the Data Warehousing area where I consolidate all of the data into Web Based tools that allow executives to rapidly analyze the information. This is done using tools commonly referred to as Business Intelligence tools. I administer and architect this environment. The particular tool I work with is Cognos, the leading BI tool in the market.
Its a long way from Marshall but I love what I do and it allows me to provide a good living for my family.

e in the Marine Corps I worked primarily on the RF4-B and FA-18. I worked in the "Electric Shop" where I worked on all of the instruments and their computers that tell the pilot how high, fast, direction, rate of climb/descent, horizon and all of the other information they need to get from point "A" to point "B". I specialized on the CADC, (Central Air Data Computer).
While at MCAS El Toro I volunteered to work on computerizing their maintenance tracking systems. This is where I first starting writing computer programs that were used by others.
