Brian's Story
Life
Well........where to begin? After High School I met the love of my life, my wife Cathy. We dated for about 7 years and then got married in the church we met at! It has now been 10 wonderfull years of marriage on top of the 7 and 2 beautiful daughters later (6 and 8). They have both been blessed with their father's goofiness. Also, they love to sing and dance.
I work for Sunnyvale Acura as a senior internet sales and leasing consultant. I have stayed musically active. Currently, I play drums and sing at church in Mountainview.
After high school I started teaching drums at local high schools and SJSU. Since then I have done drum clinics, instruction,music writing and judging thruout northern California. I mostly enjoy show design and still stay active in this area.
It's good to see Leigh music program staying strong. Go Longhorns!
School
It's been a few years so I'll dig from my cobweb head a couple of notions. Well................ peeing my pants at a band awards ...Expand for more
ceremony as a Freshman had to be the most emberrasing. Even those puky Green band pants and Yellow cumberbund couldn't hide the fact that I had drank way too much water that day!
Man I was a geek! Chess team and band plus drama. I wouldn't trade them for the world. I enjoyed doing the musical "The Boyfriend" as a junior. Fun times singing and acting like a dirty old man.
Friends in band and drum line were great too. (Cassie, Tony, Cane)
College
It was all about the Spartan Marching Band! I loved performing, teaching and writing music for them.
Workplace
After High School, I continued to sell baseball cards at local shows and Flea Markets as my own business. I started teaching percussion. After getting married I worked as a Manager with Macy's for 3 years, and then selling fine jewelry and managing Jewelry stores for Macy's, Bailey Banks and Biddle, Zales Outlet and Lundstrom Jewelrs. I then made a change to Saturn automobiles and finally to Acura here in Sunnyvale California.
