Brian's Story
Hello everyone!
Donna (Salmons) and I have been married now for just over 16 years. We live in Douglas, AL (Marshall Co.) Our kids are now 29, 27, and 23. Melanie is a B.S.R.N. and is currently employed at St. Vincent's East in B'ham. Joe has completed his time with the U.S.A.F. and is currently employed with a company working for the Department of Homeland Defense. Aimee graduates from Jacksonville State University in 04/06 with a degree in elementary education. She is teaching 3rd grade at West End Elementary School in Albertville. Joe has provided us with our first grandchild. Mason Brody Stanley has blessed our lives in so many ways that we never knew existed. He is 4 years old now. (01/09) Aimee brought us two more grandchildren when she married. Kamdon, age five, and Deqlyn, age seven. There ain't nothin' like it nowhere!
I am currently employed with Huntsville Hospital in the Medical Records Department doing record review and coding for research and reimbursement of Medicare Inpatient accounts. I am actually working from my home offic now which is pretty cool. I am currently working on two books; one is a novel, and the other is a compilation of short stories based on growing up in the seventies. If I ever finish t...Expand for more
hem, I hope to get them out there one of these days. Donna is still an educator with Wallace State College. She is Program Director of the Health Information Technology Programs. We enjoy the outdoors, our involvement with our church, road trips, bluegrass, Mason, Kamdon, Deqlyn, fishing, and other assorted stuff. We bought a Toyota Solara Convertible last summer and truly enjoy the open road. Me and Mike Carroll have attended a couple of Auburn-Alabama football games now. Auburn won them both of course. It made me happy, and made him not, but we had a great time. And yes, I am aware that the tide has turned. Whatever....I usually try to make at least a couple of games each year.
We had our 30 YEAR CLASS REUNION last year and are now having a "Class Night Out" once a year. For anyone who hasn't heard, that new high school that they used to talk about when we were there is finally a reality. It is located on the road that goes between the school and city hall near the baseball field. I do not know the future of the old school but I suspect there will be commercial use of that land, as Southside continues to grow.
I have posted some pictures of the old school on this site. Send me an email sometime.
See You later,
Brian
