Brian's Story

Life I live in Bartlesville Oklahoma (45 miles north of Tulsa) on the side of Circle Mountain, which is more a glorified hill, but one that DOES provide a beautiful view. Single for three years, I have a Facebook, a hot car, a great job, awesome kids (now a (GADS!) grandchild), an ex-wife, and not lookin' for a current or future one... unless someone comes along that rocks my world... date rarely, but willing to on occasion. In no hurry to change. Lindsay is 27 now, graduated from college and married with one child. Brittany is 13, will be in 8th grade... she's a little diva. I've been at ConocoPhillips for over 19 years now and still doing web technologies. My job is supporting and leveraging our massive SharePoint environment with a tiny but extremely talented team and doing as much Flash/Swish as I can get away with under the radar. Challenging and more importantly, fun... plus they pay me, so I guess I'll keep comin' in... My Homes & Schools or Jobs Carthage Missouri - Mark Twain Elementary - (K-6) Monett Missouri - Monett Jr. High and High Schools (7-11 grades), Missouri State University (Graduated '88) -- worked at Herds (north and south) and ran the Monett Summer Youth program for 4 summers. Green Bay Wisconsin - Green Bay East High School (11&12 grades - Class of '83) St. Louis Mo. - McDonnell Douglas (McAir) 88 to 91 Bartlesville OK - Phillips Petroleum and/or ConocoPhillips (91-97) Lake Jackson Texas - Phillips (97-01) B'ville again (01 to present). Look me up on those social networking sites! Love to hear from anyone! I'm the type of person who likes to keep track of "my flock"... those people I have known in each phase and place of my life or who knew Dad, Sis (Karen) or my brother Steve - happy to update anyone on any of them. rat. I have spent enough time in each place Schreiber (Dad) or Phillips/ConocoPhillips has taken me to have enjoyed awesome people at each (a few jerks too, but even the jerks should ping me... I'm not the jerk I have been at times (okay, that one time LOL!) in my life... PROMISE!). And I'm CURSED with this incredible long term memory... so I remember most anyone, YOU, and probably anything/everything we ever did. Conversely, if I met you or worked with you in the last couple of years... chances are I DON'T remember your name... is that embarrassing or WHAT? It's like, "Hi (mumble)! How are you? How's your, uh, family? Oh, they're all dead? Of course! I remember hearing something about that...". Then slink away... but if we played kickball in 3rd grade, I'll remember you driving me home when you kicked the ball over all our heads... go figure! Actually, my dad's dad had a true photographic memory... I think those genes slowly fade over the generations. My great great grandchildren will likely be institutionalized droolers... Anyway, since Dad passed, I grace my mom in Carthage with my presence about two weekends a month. When I'm there, I usually break out my stash of fireworks and/or shoot some pool (some will recall the pool tables Dad built) and handle anything Mom needs done. Hang with my brother or cousins or the occasional date or trip to Monett. Actually would like to live in SW Mo., but the golden handcuffs at ConocoPhillips and my daughter and Mary living here will likely keep that from happening anytime soon. I guess Carthage is "home" if anywhere is. It's where I bury my dead and where I can typically see someone I am related to most anywhere I go. Since I haven't lived where my relatives lived since 6th grade, someday living there again is a compelling, but not a necessity.
