Brian's Story
Life
I grew up in Laurel Bay, SC and lived on the military base. Attended Laurel Bay Elementary Schools and then in 1978 we moved to Beaufort, SC on Brotherhood Road. I went to and Beaufort Jr. High and then to Beaufort High School in 1980 for my freshman year... We moved to Edmonton, Alberta Canada and went Harry Ainley High School in 1981-1983.
Moved to Los Angeles in 1986. I got married in 1987. Had 4 beautiful children who are now (2008) aged 19(son), 18(daughter), 15 (son), 11(son).
In 1991, I became a police officer in the Los Angeles area and in 1997 while working on a police motorcycle assigned to the DUI Team , I attempted to make a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle that unknown to me, had just been car-jacked at gunpoint by a mexican mafia member and was subsequently shot 6 times. I was struck in the forehead, leg and my vest. After having died and brought back to life, 3 brain surgeries and 2 leg surgeries, knee surgery, I am back to normal and 100% (You would never had known I was shot) It took me almost a year of hard long days of rehab to get back to work and relearn to walk, talk and ...Expand for more

In 2001, I was diagnosed with Colon cancer. The best part was that it was diagnosed early and after successful surgery, I am cancer free and back to 100%, again!!! LOL
In 2005, after 18 years of Marriage, my wife cheated on me wth 2 of my friends and left me and my 4 children so she could o live the party single life and be with her 21 year old boyfriend..(she thinks she's happier now, hahaha).. But boy did she ever miss out on alot of things in life!!!!
In 2008, I went and got a tattoo on my ankle that has lots of meaning to me personally...I never thought I would ever get a tattoo, but I did!! Its a Japanese Kanji symbol meaning, "survivor"!!
I am now single and have full custody of all my children, have a beautiful million dollar home in sunny Southern California. I am now happier than I have ever been and living my life to the fullest every day traveling and doing things I thought I would never do....
I don't sweat the small stuff as I have learned that life is too short and can be taken away at any moment, not to live life as if it was your last....Trust me, I KNOW!!!
