Brian's Story
Life
I went to UVM for a year after graduation from BFA...a total bust. Took one year off and worked at J.W. Ryan's for a year. Transferred to and graduated from Paul Smith's College (class of '86). Transferred to Cornell, but I took a sabbatical after one semester and could never afford to go back. I worked from December 1986 to June 1988 in Vermont. In that time I was at St. Albans City School and found my love for education. I then headed south to Florida for nine months of working for my father before returning to get my degree in Art Education at the University of South Alabama in March of 1989. Four years later I graduated in June of 1993. I worked for one year at a middle school in Opelika, Alabama.

w school in 1995. I worked there for 8 years. It was a wonderful experince. In the summer of 2003 I opened my own secondary school here. We have 23 students this year. We are renting a beautiful house that has about 2.5 acres of land. Our goal is secure funding for two constuctions for 2009-10. I am excited about up coming academic year because we are opening the preschool and primary school sections!
More big news is that I finally got married in July 2004! My wife, Carolina was a single mother, so I am the father of a ten-year daughter now too. My daughter's name is Nicole. My wife and daughter are Colombian...Spanish is spoken in the home more than English, but I am teaching them. In August of 2006, my wife gave birth to our daughter Mary Leah. We named her after my mother. In April of 2008, my wife gave birth to our son Christopher Brian.
