Brian's Story
Life
I've been bouncing around the country since HS. Went to college in Thousand Oaks, grad school in Columbus, OH and Austin, TX, taught at UVa in Charlottesville, VA, moved to DC and worked for Sen. Bill Bradley and later the American Psych. Association, then moved to Lincoln, NE (my current home) where I teach at the Univ. of Nebraska and direct the Center on Children, Families, and the Law. I do research on adolescents (mainly sexual behavior of...), child maltreatment, child care, and AIDS prevention with adolescents (in Brazil and Thailand). I've been married since 1974 and we have an 21-year-old son who's a fantastic kid and is a senior economics major and captain of the baseball team at Haverford College. When not working (which is all too rare) I travel (usually with bodyboard in tow). Have now surfed (or bodyboarded) in Africa, Asia, Australia, Indonesia, Central America, South America, and Europe. Still have a few spots to hit. Also enjoy snorkeling, playing guitar, and reading.
