Life Wow! Write a life biography in 4000 words or less? I am not sure I can, but here goes. After high school, I moved to San Marcos, TX where I attended Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University- Don't get me started on the name change!) I actually completed 2 Bachelor of Science degrees there. One is in Psychology/Biology and the other is Elementary Education. While attending SWT, I met and married my 1st husband (Yes, there is a #2, but I will get to that later) We had a tumultuous relationship to say the least, but we did produce a beautiful little girl who is now 8 years old. She is in the Talented and Gifted Program and is 8 going on 18. I have no idea where she gets that from! In 1997, my father passed away after a long battle with alcoholism. This was a major turning point in my life. It was as if my eyes had been opened for the first time. I was able to see what a disaster my marriage was and I began to take steps to correct that. I got involved in my church and prayed that God would show me his plan for me. He is still revealing this to me today. As a result, I was able to see that my husband was unfaithful and had been for many years. I divorced him and moved to Killeen, TX in 2000. I found a job teaching and began to put my life back together. Within a year, I was able to purchase a new car and a home on my own, something I could never do when I was married.
