Brigitte's Story
Life
Currently I am married with no children. I have two cats and that's the closest to children that I'm going to get. I have many nieces and nephews and enjoy being an Aunt to them. My husband and I have done some travelling, including a month long trip to Germany, my place of birth, Mexico and a 3 week motorhome tour of the Western states including taking in a Nascar Race in California. We enjoy different foods and one of my hobbies is to cook different things I've tried. We both have very busy lives. On our time off we are working with a race team in the province of BC. We travel with this team from the far northern reaches down to the island and all over the lower interior of BC. It is an exciting sport and we are fortunate to be working on a championship team. The people in the sport are very interesting people to meet. Besides working on the race team, we both work at full time jobs, myself, I am a secretary at a Real Estate Appraisal firm. alership in Vernon and a pension benefits administrator in Vancouver. Primarily I enjoy keeping books but after some time off I chose a new path simply for a break and because I also enjoy real estate. My husband is a machinist and has been with his company almost 15 years. He is fortunate enought to be able to see a wide variety of places and do repairs to all kinds of equipment for repairs to the galena bay ferry to log loaders in the bush to sawmill equipment. On occasion I'm actually able to go with him. As I'm a bookkeeper by nature, I still complete books for two clients from home.
Besides doing books from home, my husband and I also manage a few rental units. We have purchased a few homes over the last 3 years and have some of them rented out.
We both enjoy working on our homes and this year have completed some renovations to our house. It makes us not want to leave for a while now. We did have thoughts of leaving the Okanagan area but things have changed. The area we live in is very versatile, beautiful and has many different thins to offer.
