Brooke's Story
Life
I've now lived in Kentucky for four and a half years. Johnny and I have been married for six and a half years. Still no children, lots of talk and planning but none yet. My husband just got back from Iraq in Oct. 2005. He is a Navy Seabee. He is a heavy equipment operator in the Navy Reserves, he's also an 8 year Army Vet. I now have been out of the Army four and a half years, I'm no longer going to school to be a nurse, I've taken a break from that and now work for the Dept of the Army on the civilian side. Johnny and I work at the same Army Depot, he in Ammunition, I in Law Enforcement. Life is good, laid back and easy going. We are healthy and happy and blessed beyond words.
School
I enjoyed high school. I like to look back on the memories, the orneriness, the growing experiences, the learning times, the parties. I like to keep in touch with many of my friends I've alwa...Expand for more
ys kept close to me. I still enjoy coming home to visit and catch up on life.
Workplace
I work for the Dept of the Army in Law Enforcement. Its a great job at the Army Depot here in town. I still adhere to military standards but as a civilian.
Military
I served three years in the US Army where I met my awesome husband. He is a former Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He spent 3 years out of the service, working for the Department of the Army as a civilian, and now is in the Naval Reserves in a combat construction unit called the Sea Bees. I am very proud of him as well as the rest of my military and veteran family. I was a motor transport operator stationed in Fort Sill, OK for my duration. I took part in many state side deployments including two three month tours at Fort Irwin (NTC), CA. I had a great experience in the military and now work for the DA as a civilian as well.
