Brooke's Story
Life
I have been happily married to Mike Bunn (Minor '89) for 10 years. We have two sons. Drew is 8 and Mark is 7. We are having a blast. We are still living in Birmingham, and I have been a stay at home mom for about 7 years now. I do work at our church preschool though two days a week. I got my degrees in Speech Pathology and Elementary Ed and taught at MInor Jr. for three years and had Minor HIgh also that last year. I was the speech pathologist for that school as well. It was really neat to walk down those halls again. A few of the girls thought I was a student! Ha! I think not! Still gotta love Minor! I will be going back (hopefully ) this fall to the classroom.
Lets see what all has happened! We have been so busy as I'm sure you are as well. Got married in 96, celebrated year 2 with a newborn, and liked being parents so much we thought we'd have another. 1999 saw Mark arrive that November. Drew was 17 months. They are close, but they love each other so much! Its fun to hear them talk about how they are going to get married and brings their wives to live here in their room. Yeah! They should love that. Sharing a room in a bunkbed. Too funny.

Stayed three years. This is when I decided to stay home with the boys. I highly recommend it if you have the opportunity. It was wonderful. Staying home I mean. Atlanta was the pits! We moved back here in March of 03 and my father had a stroke the next day. He was recovering when he had another, and he passed away 2 weeks later. Some of you may have known that he had prostate and bone cancer. I was so grateful to God that I was able to be here for everything, and to be able to do for my mother and sister. God's timing is perfect!
It will be 4 years this April. The other night on the baseball field Mark was playing 3rd base, and was looking up in the sky for the longest time. We asked him later what he was looking at, and he said he watching a balloon go up. Then he said he watching to see if Gaga would come back down. They were very close. I thought it was sweet. The fellas called him Gaga, cause Drew never could say Gramps , and Daddy wouldn't ever let us change it. Whatever makes them happy.
My life these days is covered up with baseball and basketball games, and PTO junk at school, but I love you guys so call me or email and I would love to hear from any of you. God bless you!
