Life
There is so much to put in here and so little space to say it. After highschool, I went to Southern Methodist Univeristy in Dallas, TX for 2 years. I wasn't ready for college yet, so I moved to Potomac, MD and worked for 2 years as a waiter and then returned to Dallas to wait tables for another year before trying college once again. I made it for another two years, but did not complete my courses and again realized I needed a defining moment in my life before I would be able to concentrate on school and graduating. After working for a year as the shipping manager for J Crew, I decided to enlist in the Navy. After completing bootcamp, advanced electronics technical core and fire controllman A school in Great Lakes, IL, I moved to Virginia Beach, VA. I complete An/SPS-48E radar C school on July 2, 2004, and then report to my ship. I will be stationed on the USS George Washington CVN-73 for the next 5 years. She is a very large nuclear aircraft carrier and I will be working on and operating the 3-D air search radar and all of its equipment. I got married to Ellie Pillsbury, whom I dated in 11th grade back in dallas, on april 24th an...Expand for more
d we are looking forward to a long and healthy life togeather. I am working on finishing my college credits required for graduation, hopefully in the next 2 years, and then applying for the officer candidate program and naval flight school with the goal of becoming a pilot in the navy.
School
While it depends on which school I'm talking about, I enjoyed all of highschool. JIS, ESD, and Cushing were all fun in their own ways. I miss the friends and the fun, and most importantly the sports. I do wish I had spent more time studying and working harder on my grades. I also wish I had more of an understanding what would be required of me in college and life, but I know I wouldn't have listened to that advice even if it was offered! Ah, the winters at Cushing, with the snow piling up outside and the late nights in my room watching movies and causing trouble. The weekends in Dallas, going to HP football games and parties by Love field and the Highland Park girls! And just the experience of living in Indonesia and the comeraderie of going to JIS and the small but tight community. And most important of all, the lack of responsabilities!!!
