ications technician and then promoted to comunications representative (sales). With the break up of the Bell System in 1984 I moved to AT&T in Hunt Valley, in 1987 back downtown again on Charles St. working on the long distance switching machine. When they decided to add another switch in Finksburg, Carroll County, I finagled a transfer there, since I could walk to work. In 1999 an opening came up in Salisbury, I was the senior person interested in this position and again we moved, this final time to the Eastern Shore. After AT&T went through some downsizing, I was the last person left on the Eastern Shore, and then in 2005 I was declared surplus. I took my early retirement bonus along with my pension and retired after 37 years with the Phone Company.
