Bruce's Story
Life
In the year after graduation I went to WKU (biology), took flying lessons, and took a course in drafting. I got tired of studying and flunked out of WKU. Daryl Dempsey, Joe Walton, and I got together one day and went to see the Air Force recruiter. A few weeks later Joe was on his way, two weeks after that Daryl and I went to basic training. th got out of the Air Force after their first hitch, I retired after over 26 years. One thing about the Air Force I never stayed in one place long enough to get bored. About every three years they would move me to a new location. I met my wife, Mary, while I was stationed in Miami, FL. Within a year and a half of marriage we lived in NJ, MD, and Italy. I have two kids both born in Tucson, AZ. We now live in Hampton, VA where I work for, naturally, an AF contractor.
