Bruce's Story
After graduating high school I spent the summer touring Scandinavia with the Blue Lake Jazz band. Then I started classes at the University of North Texas (then NTSU) and majored in jazz studies. After 3 years I wasn't close to graduating and while I was playing a lot better I wasn't playing well enough to do what I wanted to with music. I started working and going to college part time and changed major a few times within music but couldn't find anyting other than performing that I could get excited about. ting more into bicycles I was hired at a bike shop and riding more and more I got fast enough to race in the mid '80's. I started taking Computer Science classes just for fun. When a bike shop closed and I was between jobs one of my Computer Science professors lined me up with research assistant job for the Computer Science department at UNT in '89. By then I had enough Computer Science classes to graduate with a CS major. I've been in the computer industry ever since. I am married to to the love of my life Bobbie and we have a wonderful daughter named Zoe. I presently work at DMSP in Irving Texas and own a house in Carrollton.
