Bruce's Story
Life
1. After high school, I traveled through out the world and spent six years in the navy and served on three ships and one shore activity. While enjoying all these exciting places I developed good work habits, the ability to exchange ideas, loyalty and self discipline. After military service I worked for a finance company while paying for the (three Years) of limited higher education that I recieved. During this time I met, courted, and married the love of my life.We have five children and nine grand-children as a result of that union and I consider this the single most important thing I have done in my life. We retired from the air plane manufacturing business in the year of ninteen-ninetyfive after spending some twenty-nine years in that field. I have walked the walk and talked the talk and have done every thing from bucking the rivets and assembling the parts to planning the projects and prepairing the proposals th...Expand for more
an presenting that proposal to the customers. Next I managed people doing these thing. In the nine years of retirement that followed we have learned to enjoy and appreciate each other and I wouldn't have it any other way. If I die tomorrow I would have had a most full and rewarding life.
2. A very disturbing thing has happened toward the end of this past year. On August 26th, 2004 I lost my dear Mammie, due to multiple afflictions! I had never throught of losing her! Until now, I had always thought of me going first!
I created the following due to her death:
In Matters of the Heart
To be sure in matters of the heart, the pain of death is
premier and the strongest emotion ever. In time I will take
in hand all unrelenting over powering passionate emotions
of love lost save one. I never got to say good-bye!

P.S. I am still trying to take strong emotion in hand - it is more dificult than one would think!
