Bryan's Story

Military I attended boot camp in Orlando FL for two months in 1990. I then attended 6 week in Pensacola FL for Aircrew training. I really enjoyed my stay there. After aircrew school I attended Aviation Electrical school in Memphis TN. Not a highly recommended place for a single young guy. I was then assigned to VRC-30 in San Diego where I became a loadmaster on turbo-prop aircraft flying aboard aircraft carriers throughout the western fleet. During this tour I was able to take a month trip to Hawaii. Spent 2 weeks on Pearl Harbor. After 2 years I was reassigned to VRC-40 in Norfolk VA. I believe that my Medditeranean cruise was the most memorable part of my Navy career. I visited Tunisia Africa, Germany, Italy, Sicily, Greece, the south of France, Spain and Bermuda. as based out of Sigonella, Sicily for the majority of this six months. I had a total of 26 days of sea time officially registered aboard ship prior to getting out. I also spent 18 months in the reserves flying on the back end of a DC-9 aircraft. The most interesting place I stayed was Kefvlavik Iceland. The no darkness during the spring is extreme. During this same period, I was working for Raytheon as an Avionics Technician. The experience thrust me into a better position supporting the V-22 Osprey. I've worked for Bell Helicopter supporting the V-22 Osprey for the USMC and US Air Force. I spent 4 years in Southern California and the last few years in Albuquerque, NM. I'm extremely excited to support this program and enjoy working on such a revolutionary program.
