Life - I spent 30+ years in the corporate data processing world as a systems analyst, programmer and all-around computer wonk all the while keeping a foot in the creative world with music, drama and film. My group, Stony Point, had a song on the radio in 1979, "They've Sued The Old Lone Ranger," about the Wrather Corp of England filing suit to prevent Clayton Moore from wearing the Lone Ranger mask. They were making a new Lone Ranger movie with a younger Lone Ranger. In 1991, my wife, Barbara, and I, moved to Portland, OR, after deciding the business climate of the Bay Area was not conducive to our further economic development. In June 2001, we bought a home in a small town west of Portland called Vernonia and life keeps changing for the better. I am the Vice President of the Vernonia Community Learning Center Committee and active in different community projects. Barbara and I have also started our own computer consulting company, B&B Computing, serving our local area. I write a computer security column for our local paper and quite a bit of on-line writing under my own name and a variety of pseudonyms. We survived the great flood of December 2007, as our house is out of the flood plain. However, our storage unit was not and we lost the bottom layer of stuff. Fortunately, most everything was in plastic boxes. I wrote a song about the flood which I got to perform live on the radio the day after I wrote it during a live remote by "Bob Miller in the Morning" on KPAM in May 2008.
