Byron's Story
As a 68 year old retired engineering manager, I feel very fortunate indeed. Having been diagnosed with cancer in 2012, I'm now in remission. Soooo,... I'm starting to "smell the roses" by living life to its fullest potential, as they say. After working as a team leader on the Obama campaign, I'm still "fired up" for 2016.
After fifty years, it seems like yesterday since my old Tech High days in Oakland, Calif. However, school didn't stop there for me, having received two Master's degrees in the interim, and serving as an adjunct professor at a local college. I still do consulting work in structural dynamics from time to time just to stay busy.

Nowadays, I spend my time with family, and displaying "shameless plugs" for my sports cars. LOL. :-) Call it my "mid-life crisis."
Having traveled to 34 countries (mostly on business), I feel "worldly," and recommend travel to everyone I encounter in life.
I'm also very involved in STEM education now, and mentor in youth programs. My 3 kids are "grown and gone," and I get my exercise by chasing my 4 year old grandson around the yard. :-)
50 years since high school!! Wow!! That's a lot of living! I'd love to hear from my old classmates after all these years, and I hope to see ya at the 50 year anniversary / 100 year centennial this May 22nd!
