Calvin (Tucson)'s Story
Life
My name is Calvin, but up at Osseo Wi. I got nick named Tucson.Before I moved to Wi. I went to school in Durand Il for a short time.I went to school in Pecatonica from the middle of 2nd grade until 8th grade.And before that I went to school in Seward Il.I went into the Military in March of 1981.Istayed in the Regular Army for 9 tears.After that I went into the National Guard for 12 years.I retired from that in 2002. I got married to Zona Diehl in 1985.I have four children 2 girls ages 19 and 17. I also have 2 boys ages 16 and 14. I now live in central Iowa. I work at Tyson fresh meats in Perry Iowa, in the General maintenance department.
School
I Really Can not tell my biggest crush because I had so many crushes on alot of different girls in all of the different schools that I went to. I just wish that I would not have been so shy as not to have ask more girls out.
Workplace
I worked on the farm I moved up to in Wi. At the age of 14 years old and worked there for almost 6 years.I worked at Pizza Hut in Freeport Il for a short time,but I could not get enough hours and the pay was not good.Then I worked for a Hospital in Belevire Il. for a short time that was a swing shift. then on to Camcar in Rockford Il. for almost a year.But then my father found out that he had Cancer so I moved back up to the farm in Wi. so that my sister could move in with the parents to help take care of them.In that same time my mother lose all of the use of her legs.I stayed on the farm for about 1 more year.Then my father passed away And that was really hard to take .So then I went into the military. I stay there for 9 years. and then got the Job that I have now.My mother passed away back in 1987 when I was over in Germany. She died on Dec 24 ...Expand for more

I flew back from Germany to Il. on Christmas Day By that it made it that Christmas for me was about 27 hours long.After I got out of the regular army I went to work at IBP inc. in Perry Iowa. I was a production worker on the Kill floor for 6 years From there I went to Yards as a hog driver for 31/2 years. I now work in the Maintenance department on nights.
Military
I started my military career at Ft. Leonardwood Mo. on March 5th 1981. I was in boot camp there for 8 weeks. From there I went to Abereeden Ma. for training for being a tank turret repairman. After being there for 8 weeks. I left there to go to Ft. Knox Ky. I was there for 3 1/2 years.I raised in rank from E-1 to E-5 in that 3 1/2 years.I also went to the field all over the U.S. while station there.I also got Married and my first child was born there.I then was station in Germany for 3 years.First in Karlsruhe for 23 months.But I became Excess so I was moved to Germashiem for my last 13 months. My second child was born in Germany.I was then sent back to the US to Ft. Hood Tx. I was there for 18 months in the 1st Cav Div. From there I got out of the Regular Army and went into the National Guard. First in Ca.for 13 months. I was in the unit in Compton Ca. From there I moved to the unit in Sargents Bluff Ia. for about 8 months befor they got me moved to a unit in Johnston.I was in both the 3655 unit and then in 3657. I retired out of the Guard in March of 2002. That was 9 years of regular Army and then 12 years of the National Guard. They kept delaying me from going to BNOC so I never got promoted from E-5. I got to be on fire duty in Ca. and on flood duty in Des Moines. But I never was sent to a war zone. I also was on Train guard when I was over in Germany.
