This is not a story as such, rather a thank you to the the class of '60 for including me even after dropping out early. Schooling/education was not my forte; sociability came in dead last but memories were made, some good, some of lesser quality of which I take full responsibility. Thank you for all of the good ones! The Navy was good to/for me. The importance of education became apparent after being assigned training to become a jet engine mechanic and later, the opportunity to obtain a high school equivalent GED while involved with Naval operations in the Western Pacific. A couple years later the chance of getting enough smarts to fulfill a California childhood dream of flying military aircraft began.
