Candace's Story
Life
Whoa, where to begin. I am still in Texas, married to an unbelievable man (very unique, as smart as they come), and he must have some hard core genes because we have made a couple of pretty cute kids together. His name is Jonathan Moss, and our girls' names are Lydia (she's 7) and Margaret (4).

2005 Bio
After high school, I took a year off school- worked and traveled. Went to the University of Dallas where I met my husband Jonathan. We married in 1999. We spent 5 years living the Army life, at Fort Hood, where he was a Field Artillery officer. The military was COMPLETELY foreign to me, so I learned a lot. I loved living on post, where the other wives and I would gather on the front lawns in the evenings and sip wine while the kids played or rode bikes. Very retro. It was here, too, that I began to experiment with portrait photography and launch my small photography business. Jonathan was deployed in April 2003 to Iraq, via Kuwait, which is where he sat when our second daughter, Margaret, was born at home. He returned when she was three months old to meet her for the first time- what a reunion!
In 2004, we moved to Austin, where Jonathan started his MBA at UT while we continued to renovate the fixer-upper we had bought. I spend my days guiding my girls through life, trying out new creations in the k...Expand for more
itchen, reading, researching things that interest me (health, parenting, child development, civic affairs, etc.), taking pictures, and talking with Jonathan about anything and everything.
We love living in Austin-we go to parks, pools, Thai and Mexican restaurants, concerts, and the Capitol whenever we can. Jonathan was recently reactivated into the Army and sent to Fort Bragg to train as a Civil Affairs officer before being sent overseas again. You can read about him and his recent deployment in a monthly feature article in Texas Monthly magazine, starting in August. You can see some of my photography at candacemoss.com. We are looking into getting an Ol' Southern White Bulldog puppy. Like I need a third child to take care of!
I am looking forward to the reunion in September. See y'all soon!

2007 Update
Well, our family survived the Iraq experience (again). Jonathan had a stellar stint as a writer with TX Monthly, and he returned in the summer to start his second year of MBA at UT. He graduated in May 07, and we moved to Dallas.
So, here we are, back in big D. I'm still an awesome Mommy ;), our girls are growing up into amazing people, and we're getting settled here, making new friends, and re-exploring Dallas. I would love to hear from anybody who is here in the area or will be passing through!
