Candace's Story

After High School, I enrolled at JCC to study nursing. That didn't last long and I've been trying to get back in college ever since. I've worked mostly in the call center industry; Sears RCCOC, Healthcare Recoveries, Charter Communications, Appriss, and now Web.com, formerly Website Pros, Inc. At Web.com, I have held a few different positions, first in customer care, then as a website editor. I am now on the Customer Satisfaction Team and spend my days contacting customers to help them work out grievances where it concerns their website, or search engine placement. On a personal note, I moved to Florida in 2005 with my ex-fiance. After things ended with us, I decided to give Florida a chance and stayed. So far things are working out really well for me - I am in a relationship now with a wonderful man who has a daughter that I absolutely love with all my heart. I don't always love my job, but I do appreciate it. I still get homesick each and every day for Kentucky though, and do hope to one day return to my beloved home state. Now for my "story wizard" answers: I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were - we'll never know since I've not manged to get through nursing school. . I blow off steam with: A Box of Wine The wildest thing I ever did in school - as if I would actually admit it in an online forum. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have pair...Expand for more
of headphones, duct tape, and Prozac to be able to deal with the day-to-day. (Kidding, people.) I have several heros: My parents, my siblings, my friends... I have lived in Louisville, KY, Radcliff, Kentucky, Jacksonville, Florida, Macclenny, Florida. I moved because I loved someone more than I loved myself. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Jason Hazel, because I have been looking for him for the last 5 years to no avail. . My only obsession is my family and their well-being. Well, and music. Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise? - Nothing has turned out the way I expected. So, I no longer expect the expected. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to my parents and siblings, then spend the rest on beer, boxes of wine and trashy novels. Kidding. I'd spend it on my family, setting up trust funds for all my nieces and nephews, and then do some work with the homeless veterans organization. To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? - I'd be back in Kentucky, at my sister's house, drinking wine and laughing about each other's past. My current age is 31. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely right. I share my home with boyfriend, which I find to be pretty darn cool. My first job was at Arby's, where I got paid $5 an hour to be a peon. What I remember most about it is it was fun. Seriously..
