Candice's Story
Life
Hi everyone. I have been wanting to catch up with some of my old class-mates and see how everyone is doing.....
I am doing really well and enjoying life. I am married and live in Burleson, TX. My husband and I have joint custody of his two daughters: Meagan and Mandye. I stay busy with immediate family, relatives, school, and close friends. I am currently working at SBC, but staying in college to become a high-school English teacher. I love spending time with my step-daughters and husband. We try to keep our lives simple, but that is really hard with kids. I am very fortunate to have such loving step-daughters. Jimmye(my husband) and I are currently trying to get pregnant with our first. Wish us luck!! My parents will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. Can you imagine?? We have 3 dogs. Two are min pins named Xena and Gabi. Our full size doberman is named Savannah. I'll try to keep this updated with any new news.
College
School is going pretty good. I have gone to several differen...Expand for more
t schools. Ironically, they are all pretty much the same. When we graduated, I went directly to University of Texas in Austin. I went on a provisional program. Since I didn't graduate on the top 10% of the class, I didn't get automatically accepted into UT. I lasted there about 6 weeks, but couldn't keep up. When I came back home I took a year off to get a career going. Went back to school in the Fall of 2001 attending University of Texas in Arlington. I finished a lot of school, but in 2003 my job relocated us to FtWorth. I then transferred to Tarrant County College and have been going there ever since. I am now in the process of applying to TCU to finish up my degree in teaching. Wish me Luck!!!!
Workplace
YO, working at SBC...hoping I'm not one of the 20,000 that will get cut this year. Teaching is going to be the bomb!!!!
Military
Almost went into the army during our senior year in high-school but family and friends talked me out of it. I support our troops and our President. God Bless America.
