Candy's Story
Life
I have always enjoyed writing poems throughout my childhood days. Awhile back I joined a writing class and met a great new friend,
and we continued meeting at Barnes & Nobles to write stories & poems. We keep one another encouraged and one day I mentioned I was going to submit a poem to the International Library of Poetry. They were having a contest that was opened to anyone, so I thought I don`t have anything to lose, so I submitted one of my poems. A couple months went by & I didn`t hear anything, so I just blew it off. Unexpecte...Expand for more
dly, I received a letter from The International
Library stating my poem was selected from thousands of others to
to be published in their new book of poetry coming out!
I was browsing around the internet one day and saw another contest for a short poem through the same Library, so I submitted
another one and my poem was elected from the editors!
This is something I love to do and am very proud of my accomplishments. I am glad I just went ahead with my instincts.
A person never knows and I am planning to keep moving forward!
