Cara's Story

Life Hey everyone! I guess I'm just feeling a little "old" and nostalgic. I'm still married to Mr. Wonderful Clyde Miller who just celebrated 26 years at the Wagoner Police Dept in December. He is the Asst. Chief of Police...who would have thought that the same policeman that used to run me off of the parking lots on Friday nights would be the love of my life? I still love to tease him about that "old" class of 1979 that was much too old for us babies of the class of 1982..but, we did love them...huh girls? :) We still live at the lake in Wagoner. We have two sons: Justin is 24 years old and is a Radiology/CT Technologist and Jeremy is 15 years old and will be at the big Wagoner High School next year. He is my sweet young man who has his dad's shy demeanor, which is only fair since Justin is my personality "mirror". :) We are also VERY blessed to have a Grandson, who is named after my Justin & my Daddy, Jackson Mark Miller, who will turn one year old in April. Now, I know why they call them "Grand" Children. He has made our lives complete and being 43 years old and a "KayMaw" is one of the VERY best things that has EVER happened to me! Clyde is a great PaPaw and Justin makes me more proud everyday, as I see him be the best Daddy a baby could ask for! We are still football crazy. We still go to the Bulldog games on Friday night, watch and go see the one and only OU Sooners on Saturday, and root on our Dallas Cowboys on Sundays..yes, there are no fair weathered fa...Expand for more
ns here...through the good, the bad and the ugly! :) We also have 3 other members of our family..."Champ" the Boxer (who thinks he's a lap dog puppy). "Prissy" the Shih tzu (who thinks she's a human, not a dog and she rules the house). And "Sassy" the Wire-Haired terrier, who takes care of all of us. Our other hobby is fishing. We put our pontoon in the water any chance we get...I can out fish my boys...just ask me. :) I'm in my 19th year in Healthcare, on the Admissions/Insurance side. I am the Admissions Coordinator for VistaCare Hospice. I worked at Wagoner Hospital for 14 years, went to the Heart Hospital in Tulsa for 2 1/2 years...but then I was recruited to work for VistaCare and it has been, by far, the best part of the HealthCare world that I've been in. It's very rewarding! I'm all about my boys (Clyde, Jeremy, Justin and Jackson, of course) and my dogs. I also love to spend time with my close family...Mom & Kenny (Pop)...My Sister, Dana Lord (her husband Kevin and their girls, Kayleigh and Kelsey). My Sister, Jana King (her husband Neil and their children, Jacob, Caleb and Hannah). I lost my Daddy (Jack Roach) in 2003, suddenly and tragically...I know I'll see him again someday, but my heart still feels a big void..."I miss you Daddy". Well...I hope this finds everyone well...I still love to laugh and tease and joke. I'd love to hear from old friends and classmates. We're not getting older, only better, right? LOL God bless.....Cara (Roach) Miller :)
