Carl's Story
Life
I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in August of 1998. I went straight into the Nebraska Army National Guard and attended Chadron State College, majoring in Criminal Justice. In May of 2002, I graduated Summa Cum Laude and recieved my BA. I have been a Drill Instructor at the Patrick H. Brady Academy (State Treatment and Rehabilitation Academy) since I graduated Chadron State. The job is a blast. I've met some great people there, and the kids--for the most part--are a awesome to work with. I am looking at a career in law enforcment after I get a few years experience in other portions of the field of Criminal Justice. In February of 2005 I got the call for service in Iraq. In July I started training and in September, I was there. September of 2006 I came home. In October of 2006 I went back to work and have been since. lls with a nice heavy rucksack, and lift weights. I also enjoy playing shadetree mechanic on my '85 Blazer, which only partially accounts for its terrible condition. I don't wear camo quite as often as I used to, and I've gained some weight (both the good kind AND the bad kind) since high school, but I'm pretty much the same warm, sensitive, outgoing guy everyone knew and loved back then. That's a damn lie! LOL!! I'm an asshole--no, I'm the WHOLE ASS!--If you don't like it go away! If you remember me even a little and you're not a pussy, drop a line!
College
College was a good time. I had a hard time adapting back to civilian life, but it was still fun, and I learned a lot. It was definitely worth the money.
Workplace
"W-O-R-K". What a horrible 4-letter word! I guess it's not all that bad though. Mine's pretty fun most of the time, in fact. If they gotta give you money for something (and they better!), I guess this is it.
