Carl's Story
Life
After highschool I married my present wife of 36 years. My wife and I have 3 sons, Erik, Ryan and Thomas. Erik and Ryan are graduates of the U.W. Erik attended medical school in Maryland and became a doctor. He is a Lt. Commander in the navy, . He is currently stationed in Okanowa as a famly practice doctor at the marine hospital.He is married but as yet has no children. Ryan lives in Seattle and works for the Washington Athletics Club. He is to be married in October of this year. Thomas lives and works here in Murrieta California and is single. My wife Barbara and I are looking forward to grandchildren some day. I spent 3 years on active duty in the navy as an aviation machinists mate, got off active duty in 1970 and went to work in the shipyards in Seattle. ine Comm. collage and recieved an Asso. of arts degree in 1974. I was a member of the naval air reserve from 1971-1982 as a flightcrewman on transport aircraft and was able to travel over halfway around the world from Midway island in the Pacific to Istanbul on the Meditarranian. I left the shipyards in Seattle in 1979 to go to work at the naval shipyard in Bremerton as a nuclear qulified ship fitter and have worked on ships and nuclear facilities all over the counrty and in Europe. I left Washington and moved to California in 2000 to work as a Marine Equipment Secialist at the Naval Submarine base at Point Loma San Diego . My wife and I have a beautiful home in the Temecula valley between Los Angeles and San Diego . We love the warm sunny climate of southern California but some times miss the beauty of the Pacific Northweast and look forward to return and visit when we can.
